October is finally here, which means it’s time to get out and partake in some fun fall activities! This blog will give you a few ideas of fun, safe, and kid-friendly activities you can do this Autumn.
1. Visit a Pumpkin Patch.
There are plenty of pumpkin patches across San Diego County that are open to visit, some of which even offer free entry! Pumpkin patches provide various activities for both kids and adults to participate in, like corn mazes, hayrides, petting zoos, collecting pumpkins, and much more!
2. Go Apple Picking.
Apple picking is another fun and safe activity for the whole family! Spend the afternoon searching for the perfect apples and soaking up the sun!
3. Bake some Fall Treats or S’mores!
Baking is a fun activity that can keep the whole family occupied. Try making fall treats like pumpkin pies, pumpkin bread, candy apples, cinnamon rolls, and more! There are plenty of quick and easy recipes available on the internet. Sitting around a fire and roasting marshmallows is also an excellent way to spend an evening in the fall. If you don’t have a firepit, no worries! There are s’mores recipes online that can be made in a microwave or oven.
4. Decorate Pumpkins!
Carving pumpkins isn’t always the safest for young kiddos, but there are plenty other ways to make a pumpkin festive! Local convenience stores have stickers and other accessories that can go straight onto a pumpkin without the danger of carving. Have a contest to see who can make the most creative pumpkin!
5. Decorate Your Home with Crafts.
Head on over to the store and get some fall crafts to decorate your home with! Both making the crafts and putting them up can be a fun activity for kids and parents.
